I hope she doesn't get in any trouble with her bosses over that.

I hope she does. The cat looked terrified. It wasn't funny.

Given how gingerly the cat was walking on land, swimming may be the only exercise it can get.

I disagree. There is one shot (about the three second mark) where the cat looks a little scared, but through most of it, the cat looks curious and possibly a little annoyed. It certainly looks more comfortable in the water than it does out of it.

That weight must be hell on its little joints. I'm glad they found a way it can exercise with less pain.

I didn't think the cat looked scared; but did think it looked very annoyed.

There's a difference between a contained chuckle and an outburst one makes no effort to control. This anchor didn't seem to be trying at all.

The cat was probably more annoyed at the cameraman in the pool. And come on, a cat in a floatie does look pretty funny.

Cats dislike water, but they happen to be excellent swimmers. Kinda confusing.

"I'll get my own tuna."

I can't look at a cat image anymore without writing dialogue.

Yeah. More or less like how most people don't like touching snakes, although they would do it if they have to

Unless you're keeping it hidden under your desk.

Annoyed? Scared? Terrified? I didn't see that at all. IMO, based on the slow strokes it took, that cat looked like it enjoyed the water. I think an annoyed or terrified cat would try real hard to get out of there.

Sometimes it can be really difficult to stop laughing once you get going. Plus, she had to read the script while the video is playing, so there really was no time to stop and compose herself.

It sounded as if they do this regularly. The cat may have learned that swimming rapidly to the edge of the pool only gets it put back out further into the water again.

A cat that was enjoying itself would probably have had its ears in a different position.

I don't really notice a difference in the ear position of this cat that swims voluntarily.

Ear position might not be a good indicator of mood in a swimming cat as it may alter its ears to avoid getting water in them rather than doing so as part of its mood.

I'm not sure the cat is scared. Confused, maybe? I'm glad they're helping him/her lose some weight.

One of our cats has been swimming for six years. We have no idea where it is now.

The cat in that second video has its ears, both tips and openings, generally pointed in the direction that it's going, with occasional flicks of one ear to the side, probably in response to a sound or sight out of camera range. The cat in the OP video has its ears generally flattened, tips aimed to the sides, openings pointed downwards. At the end of the video, when the cat is back out of the water, the ears then come up and aim forwards.
