There was an image where the Firefly/Serenity cast was reimagined using Muppet characters. And the Muppets have done the Scrooge story and Treasure Island.

So, how about a reversal? What live actors would you use to portray Muppet characters?

Hemsworth, I'd say. Since we're talking "hot". Pratt if we're talking "hang out with". I don't swing that way, but I'm quite comfortable etc. etc.

My vote for Miss Piggy is Rebel Wilson. She'd have the sass and attitude down pat. I think a good Kermit for her could be played by Adam Scott, the slightly nerdy guy from Parks and Recreation.

Maybe Weird Al as Gonzo?

I'd like to see Michael Keaton take on Gonzo. Dustin Hoffman would be Rizzo, of course.

And Michael Caine with Jack Nicholson as Statler & Waldorf.

Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville from Jackass as Dr Honeydew and Beaker?

I think we should use real musicians for the Electric Mayhem. Maybe Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers as animal. With Bootsy Collins for Dr Teeth?

Nick Offerman as Sam the Eagle, playing into his Parks and Rec persona of Ron Swanson.

Well, we seem to have moved from my question, but hey, I'll chime in anyway.

If we're talking about the character, totally Chris Evans, hands-down. Because Captain America is just nothing but nfbsking awesome!

But since I wanted the question to be a little more challenging, I thought I should debate it strictly from the aesthetic or drooling pervert perspective.

I agree with Evans, Mouse.

As far as Genyus's question, I say Adam Savage for Crazy Harry.

Sorry, it has to be Arejay Hale - he even plays the drums.

Avril Lavigne for Janice?

Mark Knopfler for Floyd.

Elton John for Dr. Teeth

Kenny G for Zoot

Do they have to still be alive? (We are talking about casting people as Muppets, so I think it is a fair question.) If not, then Animal would be Buddy Rich.
I like the others you have, Die Capacitrix. I think Avril Lavinge is great for Janice.
How about Jordan Klepper as Kermit? I don't know why, but he reminded me of Kermit from the first time I saw him on TDS.

Oh, and an attorney I used to know, Grover Cleveland (yes, that is his real name) as Grover. He always used to remind me of the muppet anyway.

I was thinking yes as if we were casting for a movie to be shot now. But since this is all fun, it doesn't really matter.

And Mouse, we can have more than one question active at a time.

Another suggestion for Statler and Waldorf -- How about Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart? After some of the fun they've gotten into while working together lately, I bet we could just sit them in the balcony and let them comment unscripted.

Oh, and Chris Hemsworth for the win.

OMG! That's perfect! I totally see it now. It is like someone shaved Oscar.

Brad Garret for Sweetums or Big Bird? I was also considering Richard Moll from his Night Court years, but I'm not familiar with his current work.

Johnny Galecki as Scooter

And I'm thinking Melissa Rauch could do an awesome Miss Piggy, but would probably be cast as Prairie Dawn.

Two years ago I stopped posting questions because I deployed to the Middle East and was short on time. I've been back for a year and just remembered this thread is out there. I'm going to resurrect the questions and throw a couple out per week.

Today's question:

The President of movies has decided time is right for a biopic based on the life of President Trump. She gets Spielberg to direct. Who gets cast as:

45
Melania
Jared
Ivanka
Eric
Don Jr

The first couple of casting ideas I had were:

Trump - is Alec Baldwin too obvious?
Melania - Sofia Vergara (the actress from Modern Family)
Ivanka - Kaley Couco (the actress who plays Penny on Big Bang Theory)

I don't know who else to cast. Sue's choices seem pretty cool. I'd suggest Steve Buscemi for the part of Eric Trump, but he's too old for it, which is a shame. Buscemi may secretly be the nicest, most wonderful man to have ever existed, but the guy plays skeevy creeps just so damn well.

As for Jared Kushner and Don, Jr. what we need is someone like American Psycho-era Christian Bale, someone whose skin-deep generic handsomeness only barely mask a disturbing interior. But Christian Bale probably is too old for either part, so I'm calling upon all you Internet nerds to track someone down that has the necessary qualifications.

The President of Music has called and he wants you to form a supergroup. In fact, he wants you to form the SUPERGROUP.

Here's the criteria:

- you pick the musicians from your teen years (the musicians will be as you remember them)
- one lead singer, one lead guitarist, one keyboardist, one bassist, one drummer, and one other on an instrument of your choice.
- you need to name your band,

The President of Music awaits.
