The Defence Minister of Pakistan has issued a reminder to Israel of his country's nuclear capability, in apparent response to a false news story.

They have no regrets when someone shoots up a pizza place, I wonder if they'll have any regrets if they manage to start a nuclear war.

I wish I could say they would, Sue, but so many of these types seem to have a "If I can't have it, no one can!" view about everything.

The people making fake news seem to just think that it's cool because so many people believe it.

At least the Onion uses fake news to provide incisive commentary. I cite as example their infamous article, ‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens

And of course, given all the mass shootings, said article never stops being relevant.

Well that's just freaking WONDERFUL!! Who cares that it scared the ever loving daylights out of the whole community--it was for a good cause.

ETA: Planet Free Will does not sound like the kind of site I want to be perusing while at work. Maybe I'll take a look at it once I get home, but I'm not sure if I want to give them the satisfaction.

"I mean, the fake news I cultivated on my website, led to an unbalanced individual shooting up a public place, but it did wonders for my site's web traffic."

I freely admit that I am exaggerating, but can you really say I'm exaggerating by much?

But does he realise he was wrong? Maybe the article said this and I missed it. Has he ever acknowledged that the whole thing was fake news in the first place or does he still think he did the wrong thing for the right reasons?

And Alex Jones, who inspired the attack, got. . . an interview with Megyn Kelly on NBC.

Flame Suspect charged for setting fire to "Pizzagate" restaurant

A man has been charged with setting fire in January to a Washington, D.C. pizza restaurant that had been at the center of the "Pizzagate" conspiracy theory. Ryan "Rimas" Jaselskis, 22, was arrested and charged with federal arson after authorities said he set fire to Comet Ping Pong restaurant, according to court documents obtained Thursday by CBS Washington, D.C. affiliate WUSA-9.
