Well, that's obviously what happened with cars, right? Government kept forcing manufacturers to have lower and lower MPG ratings. Something like that anyway...

Also, what electric car has a 160+ miles range? ETA: It never said they were flying in on a fossil-fueled jet plane. It could be an electric plane or one fueled by a renewable fuel like alcohol. It could even be some sort of dirigible. |

The more I look at this, the stupider it gets. It's exponentially stupid!
Current fascination: The SCOTUS - I get that the author is trying to imply that there has been some kind of purge but why would TEH EBIL DEMOCRATZ get rid of Sotomayor? She's older than Kagan, and I don't recall her doing anything particularly notable to raise the ire of the imaginary oppressors of this rather poor bit of fanfic. |

Anyone notice that almost all this stuff happens after Obama is out of office?
It's nice to see Winston and Julia still alive though. Sister "i don't think that was the intended effect" Ray |

Except the BMW doesn't in the real world. Only the Tesla Roadster gets close to that in the real world cases. And since it was Thanksgiving, it wouldn't be out of line for the brother to be using the heater, which cuts the range considerably.

I didn't get this either at first, but it all makes sense when he gets around to explaining that the issue is that racial profiling was outlawed, so everyone gets searched equally. The right wing is all about civil liberties if they are the ones getting their cavities searched.

No, the author just neglected to mention Obama's January 2017 issuance of Executive Order 17892, the "Unlimited Presidential Term Enabling Act."

The Nissan Leaf, depending on driving conditions. Built in solar cells and regenerative braking can stretch the range to around 240-250km.

I think I might have found the author:
http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/30349It's the earliest version I have been able to find. In addition, these sites also list Arnold Ahlert as the author. On the other hand, most sites (like this one, for example) don't list an author. However, I've noticed with email forwards in general and glurge in particular the author's name tends to disappear rather quickly as they mutate.
