Hello Kitty The cat came back five days after it was buried

Warning - some people might find the pictures of the cat disturbing.

http://www.snopes.com/info/news/bartthecat.asp

"A Tampa, Florida, cat found seemingly dead after he was hit by a car showed up alive in a neighbor's yard five days after he was buried."

No, not a miracle, just a cat that wasn't dead. I just can't imagine how terrified the poor thing must have been when it woke up.

Not even the first story like this I've heard. The first one I heard of was a dog.

Hello Kitty

I can't find anything that says how he determined bart was "dead" before throwing him into a shallow grave. I find that alarming.

"Oh no, my cat's been hit by a car and he's not moving, must be dead! Let's throw him into this hole and call it a day. He can't possibly just have been stunned"

This CNN link has a video in which the owner says the cat was cold and stiff.

Bart the cat came back, the very next day.
The cat came back, we thought he was a goner.
Bart the cat came back, he just couldn't stay away.
Away. Away. Away.
