Quite a lot of dietary advice is likely to only be sensible for some people and very much the reverse of sensible for others. If your system needs more salt than most peoples', then eating salty stuff is not unhealthy for you -- rather the reverse.

I agree. I don't deprive myself. I just prefer to take certain things in moderation. I sometimes have drymouth issues, and consuming less salt ameliorates them. And avoiding frozen/canned foods forces me to eat more fresh stuff, which is good, I think.
