This looks like the bananas are growing around the stem of the plant. From what I know, bananas usally grow like this:



Therefore, I vote fake.

It looks like there's a spiraling of some type of rope maybe, going up the tree. It sort of looks like the bananas were strung up on the rope then wrapped around the trunk. For what reason, I have no idea.

Hmm..that's maybe a six foot, seven foot, even an eight foot bunch.

Yes, I am very worried, it is a race against time before the Cavendish are all killed off next year or whenever by the evil banana eating fungus.

I have several banana trees, they are difficult to get rid of. But when I get a bunch of bananas growing, if I let them on the tree too long, they tend to make the tree lean and can eventually break the branch o even the tree itself. So judging by the amount of bananas there, there is no way the branch or even the tree could hold up that many bananas.

Just for the sake of clarity: there is no such thing as a banana tree, it's a herb and, for what it's worth, the thingy the fruits grow on is not a branch.
