Deer Dead deer walking (not graphic)

Comment: Supposedly from a trail cam. Do you think this is real?

I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be real. Cougars certainly stalk deer.

I am not saying it is not true but deer are usually so skittish when it comes to noises and you would think a cat that size would make at least some kind of sound?! If not.

The deer might have been already wounded or even just exhausted from running. I can't tell from the photo as it is half-hidden by the tree.

The photo doesn't look 'right' to me - I would expect, based solely on Saturday afternoon nature television shows, that a predator that close would be springing, and the cat's rear legs don't look like she's about to spring.

I'm not questioning the picture, just offering a "civilian's" impression. It's probably an accident of timing that it looks like the two animals are cautiously sneaking through the wood together. Bambo and his feline side-kick on recon.
