American Family Insurance, "Evolving Dreams" - Sweet and amazingly well-done. My mouth was agape the first time I watched, I couldn't see the joins at all.

The chicken looking at the plate of fried eggs was a little disturbing, but I guess it was supposed to be.

Another commercial I am liking is the Walmart back to school one where the mom buys two of everything for her son. I imagine a lot of parents out there are like me and nodding in recognition of the lost backpack (on the second day of school no less).

Progressive has a new (or at least to me)one of their ads made to look like one of those 70's after school special clips where the young guy is chugging cartons of milk (the small kind that schools served) while the other kids cheer him on. The whole peer pressure/kids will think he's cool thing. My favorite part is Flo asks him ,at the end, "what about your lactose intolerance?" and he replies "it's not lactose, it's milk" while chugging another carton.

I would totally be cool with Buster Posey delivering my baby. If that ship hadn't already sailed, that is.

My wife called me upstairs from my man-cave to see this ad; she was laughing so hard she was almost in tears. I didn't find it quite that funny, but I had to agree, it was pretty good.

Oscar Mayer has another of their "No" commercials with the mom and her son at a Costco style store. At one point the son rides by on a motorized stand-up scooter and underneath is the usual caption "Do Not Attempt. Always Wear a Helmet" but what made me laugh was "Always Listen to Your Mother"

Yes, and that backpack is probably sitting in the school Lost and Found, but the kids never check, because anything in the L&F has cooties, or lice, or bedbugs.

Okay, I know Walmart is a heartless, multinational corporation probably headed by Satan (if not, the CEO is giving him tips), but their Star Wars commercials, especially this one, are just freaking adorable. It's almost enough to make me stop feeling guilty for shopping at Walmart even though given the part of the country I live in and my income bracket, I really don't have much choice.

The Geico Kraken/golf announcers commercial. Apparently a nine iron is useless in that situation.

I adore this online website:

http://savetheamericans.org/

It's not quite what you think it's about if you just look at the website name.

Saw a Youtube-exclusive ad for Victor Frankenstein. Pretty standard teaser trailer, but before the trailer proper starts you see James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe just... waiting... until well after the "skip ad" timer expires. They then congratulate you on your patience and introduce the trailer. Simple but effective bit of breaking the fourth wall.

I like the commercial for KFC where the young man gets a birthday card with a $5 bill in it "get yourself something nice, love Nana". That is so exactly what my grandmother would do, for her $5 was a lot of money .

I thought this commercial was very well done.

"They don't have a high school for dogs"

Hard to find a likable ad at the end of the year, but I do like the Mercedes Benz ad where Santa passes through a throng of people, heads to his garage(?), flips a switch and up comes a Benz!

There is a commercial on right now for a phone provider, not sure which one, but the mother has called her son and is going on and on about how "squirrels have gotten into the attic again...your father won't phone an exterminator...he says this time it's personal" and all the while the son is fending off attackers in a James Bond like montage "It's very noisy where you are, are you doing zumba, dear?" love it.

That's actually for Geico - "When you're a mother, you call at the worst possible time - it's what you do...."

Thanks, Musicgeek! I missed some of it and obviously didn't catch who the advertiser was but I'll be watching out for this one again.
