Ok, OK, I'll stop correcting my brother!

I think this was the one he recently sent me and I explained that he needed to read the entire article. I did summarize the conclusions as well.

Comment: So the article on the Queen of New Orleans "slums"...you didn't
say whether it was true or false. It says "Multiple - see below". Well
it really didn't say if it was slanted reporting, a farce or what. Just
stated about it being a satire - which I always thought was taking
something and making it appear real or expounding on the truth. So again,
was it true or not?

Comment: I can't believe I am just dense but I have a difficult time
navigating through your site - I don't know if what I am reading has been
determined "rumor" or if I am reading something that is true, or what I am
reading. It seems with a lot more thought you could make all this so
simple, i.e., This is the rumor:..................... This is the
fact:.....................

I end up reading through your whole verbiage and when finished I am not
sure what I read or what I am surmising, or what's true and what is rumor.

Believe it. You're suffering from an acute case of high density.

Maybe if you actually, y'know, read the articles, it might help to clear things up for you. Or maybe not, dimbulb.

Comment: Dear Snopes Folks,
I must first say thank you for your services - rumor control is a great
thing and I do so appreciate it.
Second, and the reason I'm writing you now, is that the article on Citgo
Boycott/Buycott does not say what's true and what's not true. I read the
whole thing and still am not clear on that. The article seems to support
everything, however, it notes Status as Multiple, which tells me that some
is true and some is not.
I would appreciate if you would clear that up for me.

Comment: I just checked out the open letter to the president of the
Atlanta NAACP, supposedly written by a Mike in a blog
http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/vick.asp,

The heading on the letter says that it was published in an Atlanta
newspaper, but I did not see that you had checked that out, or commented on
the accuracy of it.

I would be interested in knowing if it was, or not, before I forward this
email.

Comment: I recieved a e-mail of people using cell phones to pop popcorn.
At the end of the Snopes article which showed that an egg cannot be cooked
using even 100 cell phones, ther were videos of people popping popcorn
with cell phones. If the use of cell phones to cook eggs how do people
pop popcorn using cell phones. You do not say.

Comment: I use to think this site was for seeking the truth behind some of
the e-mails I receive on a daily basis from people who mean well but don't
check the facts before sending them, I was trying numerous times and very
unsuccessfully I might add to find out about an e-mail I received about
the Citgo oil company being owned by some man from another country who
supports terrorism, or something like that, but the more I looked on this
site, the more frustrated I got, there were articles of the same e-mail I
received but to try and find out the truth behind it was fruitless, after
going on this site, I know no more than when I started searching this
site, what happened to the finding out whether or not a story was true on
this site? Very disappointed.

Comment: John McCain US Citizen...undetermined? I thought that when you were born in
another country but your parents were US Citizens, you were a citizen of
that country AS WELL AS the United States??? How can that be an
undetermined category on his profile?

Comment: Snopes.com says that the Bakken Formation report is 'partly
true'. What part is true and what part is false. More information would
be helpful or direction to find the accuracy.

Comment: your site says that we can find your resources for your
information at the bottom of each page in the bibliography. I am having
trouble researching where you get your information to prove what you say
is true.

Comment: So, what you're saying is the U.S.S. New York is a real ship,
actually made from steel from the World Trade Center? I had extreme
difficulty believing it's validity.

Comment: i love your site as a source for information. but i have to make
a suggestion. your write-ups are way too long. i find them just too
verbose. it's not usally a problem for me as i'm interested enough to
read the entire piece. but when i refer other interested parties to them
to refute some email they are sending out, they are not going to take the
time to read the whole thing. or they will just read parts of it
sometimes missing important facts. so my suggestion is to not ramble on
so much. just the facts. or maybe offer a readers digest version.

Comment: Although it is interesting to poke around and read all of the Hot
25, it takes a lot of time. I would ask that you organize the Hot 25 into
two sections: NOT 25 (meaning false rumours) and REAL 25 (meaning those
that have been substantiated). In this way, I can skim the NOT 25 list,
recognize my e-mail traffic, and go along worry free. Then, I can read
the REAL 25, compare to the e-mail, and take action as warranted.

This one isn't even worthy of comment.

Now my head hurts after smacking it on the desk.

Comment: I'm emailing you in reference to this article:

http://www.snopes.com/photos/odd/smackmouth.asp

I just can't understand why the two victims' families would be arguing? If
it was one of the victims' family, and one of the accused (Tim Massey)
that would make more sense. So I just wanted to make sure I read that
story correctly, and that it was indeed Terry Batson and Dana Defeo's
family arguing

So does AIG insure the congressional pension trust or not?
I didn't see that answered in your comments.

Comment: Why is the article about Reachelle Marie Smith beingn added back
as true? In the past, it was said that the search for her had been called
off and the man pictured as the main suspect that they thought she was
with had been found dead with no sign of her. I'm just curious because
now you're saying that it is true. It even looks like it was made up. It
doesn't look professional. Besides, she's been missing for several years
now--Amber Alerts don't last that long. What's going on here? Have you
been hacked or something?
