That was fantastic. Well done, Danger Bloke. I was laughing so hard my kids had to watch it, and now they think you're a hero of some type...which I guess you are, since you've survived The Deadliest Place On Earth (Australia.)

I have not laughed like that in a while. Danger Bloke is now one of my personal "go to" spots for a chuckle.

That was superbly well done.

hahaha

Thanks for the captions from the foreign viewer, too!

Do you really call it "rad BMX"? That's half German! "Rad" being short for "Fahrrad", German for bicycle.

Naw, it's 80s slang. Apparently it's short for 'radical'.

I survived another Moomba birdman rally!

Here's a video with all this year's entries.

I'd gotten so little sleep for the entire week leading up the event that I was just exhausted on the day. Here's a screencap from a TV news bulletin where I'm sitting on my ass watching my brother fix a design flaw in my craft:

My gawd man. You are living the life I dream about.

Danger Bloke is my hero!

PS. I grew up watching Super Dave Osborne, so there may be some lingering effects of that in me.

If there were a like button, I would definitely like that.

I love the final photo of the crashed plane with just Danger Bloke / Gutter Monkey's arm coming up out of the cockpit to show he's OK, and the rest of him apparently submerged...

I only ever saw Super Dave a few times on the Tonight Show with Letterman but he clearly left an impression on me.
