Default Phishing virus warning

When I clicked on links in the "Pay No Attention" thread, I got an obviously bogus warning that "Your phone is infected with 99 viruses" that "may comput you data" (sic) and prompting me to download a virus remover (I am not on a phone, btw). Is this happening to anyone else?
