Ponder Puncuation Question

This time, it's about our much used and oft abused friend the apostrophe. The project I'm working on has a description that reads Activity Area's Checklist. Now I suppose that this checklist does belong to a particular activity area, but I'm reading it as a list of things that must be checked off/in place to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. There is no possession, just a list of items and whether or not they comply with the ADA.
Should the apostrophe stay or go? I'm not posting a screenshot because it is work related.
I can say that the column headings read: Checklist Questions; Issue; Activity Description (the description is Activity Area's Checklist).
I know, I'm so anal. I just dislike word crimes.

I would ditch it.

I'd probably also ditch the s, and just call it Activity Area Checklist. While there may be multiple activity areas to be checked, even if so they're going to be done one at a time, no? I would think that checking things off that are OK in one area, when they might need attention in another area, would be confusing, if the list were meant to apply to multiple areas at once.

Read This!

I suppose if you want to be pedantic you could say this checklist is for the activity area, so "Activity Area's Checklist" is something you could call it, but it just looks better (and is certainly correct) to say "Activity Area Checklist". However, is it possible there are other activity area checklists? Would "Activity Area ADA Checklist" be more appropriate?

I'm also a bit confused: You have a checklist that has column headers that read:

Checklist Questions............Issue............Activity Description

And the "Activity Description" is "Activity Area's Checklist"? So the "Activity Area's Checklist" is an item on a bigger checklist? And that checklist also has "Checklist Questions" on it?

I agree with you about the first part. From what I can see, the word area should remain a plural because there is more than one area/room I need to check/work on.
I just mentioned to my supervisor that activity area's was incorrect. Alas, it cannot be changed, but I added ...well for future reference it should be activity area.
She pointed out that only I would notice something like that.
Guilty as charged.

Thanks for the advice.

Not true. (Though I didn't catch the thread title until the second time I saw it.)

-- it's possible you're the only one likely to read this particular checklist who will notice it, though.

Raises hand. At first I thought it was done ironically.
