Chef McDonald's Is Testing Burgers That Take 7 Minutes to Make

McDonald's is testing a customizable burger system that would make it more similar to a Five Guys or Shake Shack.

In Ontario, we have a restaurant called Harveys that has let you customize your buger since -- as long as i can remember -- 30+ years? and it doesn't take 7 minutes , and the burgers are cooked on open grills in front of you.

why is this considered revolutionary?

Even Burger King has the "your way" slogan.

It's not revolutionary as a general concept, or even a fast food concept, but it is perhaps for McDonald's, which has thrived on standardization and getting things out as fast as possible.
