My bosses will let me work from home now and then because my dog is sick (I'm not happy the dog is sick, of course).

I was able to get a schedule of the Olympic events DH and I are interested in, and we've both seen some really good horsemanship (me) and some really good shooting (DH).
I'm also happy that one of the US horses is an ex-racehorse.

On Sunday, we had a Pug come in on emergency who had totally obliterated her elbow to the point that amputation was the best option. Like all owners, hers were hesitant and worried about how she'd manage on three legs. Today, 24 hours post op, she was zooming around the reception area as a tripawd and her owner started crying and then laughing. They are thrilled with her outcome and I sense we have a new social media star. Move over Doug the Pug.

The word "tripawd" makes me happy. As does the thought of the zooming example.

There is a strong, cool breeze, and the humidity has abated considerably. I was able to walk around town to do some local errands. Being able to go outside and enjoy walking around was extremely comforting.

My daughter is going to start violin lessons. We rented the instrument today. She decided to name it Merida because it is reddish and has a bow.

I have enough money to replace my lost sunglasses. This time, I'll get a better case so I can stick the glasses in my pocket when I'm not wearing them. If I can sit on them without damaging them, I won't lose them again.
