Hi Astra!

Oh, it still happens. I don't know what causes it in every instance, but one where I've had it happen consistently is taking too long to type and/or get my thoughts together when I post.

There seems to be a timer on how long the posting window can remain open before the board will log one out once the submit button is clicked (something like 5 minutes or a bit less).

Sometimes when I've logged back in, I'll find the post made it in anyway... sometimes not.

It's happened so often to me that I got in the habit copying my posts to the clipboard before hitting submit. That way if I do get logged out behind the scenes, all I have to do is log back in and paste what I've already written and hit submit again.

Then, there was about a month when I couldn't log in at all. That appeared to be either a browser issue, or an issue with my ISP, though.

I know about it, as snopes has an article on the Main Site about it.

I've haven't liked anything he's said or done, or anything associated with him or his presidency. That something new has come isn't that surprising anymore.

Psihala, are you clicking on 'remember me' when you log in?

That seems to keep me logged in indefinitely, until I either deliberately log out, or quit the browser (which is set to wipe everything when I quit it.)

No, I don't use the "remember me" option. I shut the browser down pretty often (Firefox+Flashplayer+Mac seems to be an awful combination), and usually restart the machine(s) every couple of days just to clear out memory and give the memory-heavy applications I use a fresh start.

That option also didn't seem to help when making posts that kept the posting window open for awhile.

It isn't a huge issue. Since I copy my posts out of habit anyway, it's more of an annoyance than anything.

Dear A,

I know you love playing games all the time, but do you really think you will someday make money from playing game all the time? How many people do you think are doing that?

Annoyed mum, who expects my kids to put me in a good nursing home someday

That's interesting. It fixed that problem for me.

Ah, well. Computers are weird.

Dear "Treasury Department"-Do you think DH was born at night? Well he was, but it wasn't last night! We both know that any government agency would notify someone by mail not phone. NFBSK off scammer!
