Ok I don't know exactly how quick it was but this seems to be not possible. |

Ever see the late Bill "The Fox" Foster down a huge mug of beer? It didn't seem possible, either.
The bottle does move out of frame, so it's possible an empty one was substituted (the sound does seem more like rushing air then rushing water), but it's not completely unbelievable based on what I've seen Foster and similar performers do. |

How big a bottle is it? It doesn't look very big.

I've never heard of Bill Foster but I'll check it out. And the bottle looks slightly smaller than a regular single serving size (about 20 ounces?). It is out of the shot for a split second.

Downing that much liquid in that amount of time does not surprise me. You can open your throat - after some practice - to let it slide down as fast as it will flow. The problem I have with this video is that you cannot get a liquid to flow out of the narrow neck of a bottle that quickly without suction. Suction would of course explain why the bottle crumpled, and the crumpling would allow the water to leave without having to have air bubbling through to displace the water. However, then the guy would have lungs full of water - he ought to have been choking and spluttering from that.

Yeah, it's the bottle part that seems unlikely to me.

Well, then if he held the spout with his teeth, crushed the bottle from the bottom, and opened his throat to let the water flow freely, it is doable.
And afterward, he could burp the kanji alphabet

I'm surprised the bottle doesn't make more noise being crushed like that.

Its full of water. It removes the "crackly" qualities of the bottle by absorbing the sound.

This guy ended up being on Ellen and replicating the trick on camera, a couple of times.

Thanks, guys! I missed episode. That's a pretty neat trick. I won't try it for the same reason I won't do the cinnamon challenge. I'm afraid I'll choke.
