You've heard about Dungeons and Dragons, but what about Pride and Prejudice? Sense and Sensibility?
That's right... after 200 years we're FINALLY getting the alliteratively-named RPG we've really wanted! The Good Society, a Jane Austen, Bronte Sisters-inspired pen and paper RPG... I mean really, who here hasn't wanted to do Wuthering Heights instead of Tomb of Horrors? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...leplaying-game It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. Should he acquire one, he shall receive 100 xp. |

Sounds like playing World of Darkness with less vampires.

I'm sure if it's successful, there will be a module with vampires - and zombies.

I hope that one of the skills you can have your character learn is semaphore.

The folks at the HPLHS used to do LARP Cthulhu games - props, costumes, etc. I understand they once did desert drawings like the Nazca lines and flew the players over them in a helicopter. Perhaps the creators of The Good Society would consider bringing their game to this level of reality. |

I'm stuck on Level 3. The vicar promised me an Uzi but won't tell me where to find it.

I shouldn’t have picked dowager. My gout has me homebound and none of my grandchildren visit.

They should also allow learning to use an Aldis lamp, a telegraph and smoke signals.

GenYus, I think you detoured on the way to Pemberley and wound up on the Oregon Trail.

I wasn't that fond of Austen but recently read Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal. Glamourist sounds more my speed.

I was told there was a potion in that pack that forces a dowager to permit her grandchildren to marry for love. Can you imagine? I’ve encrypted my will and cast protection spells on my lawyers from London, but if one of those little ingrates tries to pull that on me I’ll threaten to betroth him to a Hapsburg jaw. One dinner with her, peas I should think, maybe rice, several courses of soup, should do it.
