China Woman killed by runaway trolley which sped down escalator at Chinese store

A horrific video has emerged of a grandmother being killed by a runaway supermarket trolley. The accident, which was caught on CCTV, happened on Friday morning at Lianhua supermarket in Shanghai. The 60-year-old, who was shopping alone, died from horrific injuries after being hit by the metal trolley at the Chinese store.

The article includes a link to Shanghai reportage saying two men had loaded 15 cases of drinks onto a cart ("trolley") of their own that, unlike the store's own carts, was not made to be carried by the escalator's gears along the side, leading to the loss of control. I think the article above and the original headline is a bit misleading in calling the trolley a 'supermarket trolley' as that term makes it sounds like it was the supermarket's own trolley where this happened, but clearly it was not, and using the store's own trolleys would have avoided this incident.
