One of my Facebook contacts just posted this (italics mine):
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION: HACKER WARNING! There is a new way to hack your facebook. A Notification will be sent to you that one of your friends has commented on your status, it will open a new page and tell you to re-enter your facebook username and pass.....................word. The page looks JUST like the FB login page so dont enter your user id and password or it will be hacked. Please read, copy and paste to everyone It doesn't specify but I would imagine it means an email notification, since the lower right hand corner pop ups come from within FB itself (aps and such). Anyone have a clue about this? I told my friend to just type the URL in manually if she was afraid of a linked email. I'm getting so dang tired of FB "warnings"

Yes, it's a real threat but, no, it's not new.
