Default Harper Lee dead at age of 89

Nelle Harper Lee, who won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1961 for her book, "To Kill a Mockingbird," has died at the age of 89, multiple sources in her hometown of Monroeville confirmed Friday morning.

I can't be the only person here who assumed Harper Lee was a bloke, can I?

Probably not, although I knew she was a woman. I'm guessing Harper was the maiden name of her mother or some other matrilineal relative.
