Icon105 Men perform better in bed when put under the spotlight, study finds

For many, the art of seduction starts with dimming the lights. But a new study suggests that bright light may help men with flagging sex drives to shine in bed.

Exposure to bright light - similar to daylight - boosts levels of the male hormone testosterone and can triple sexual satisfaction, the new research found.
Both the headline and the first sentence mischaracterize what was tested. What a shock! Anyway, the basic idea is that strong light for an extra half hour raised testosterone, libido and sexual satisfaction significantly, as compared to the control group, who got lesser levels of light for the same period.

To be fair, is there any science journalism that isn't crap? It seems it's impossible for there to be an article about a recent scientific discovery that doesn't grossly oversimplify things, just as it's impossible for the NY Times to find a conservative editorialist who doesn't suck.
