If you insist on jogging before the sun comes up, in the fog, wearing black--stay the 7734 out of the street. My dog and I don't take up that much room on the sidewalk.

Smitty, you don't know 7734? You punched it in on the old calculators, the ones that made all of the numbers out of the 6 lines, then you turned the calculator upside down. Swearing without swearing.

If bit insults are good enough for "WA"Y then I guess they are good enough for me.

PS. 8008 is the singular version of 58008.

I know what 7734 is; I've just never seen it used in a sentence like that before.

Even if the growth hormones in milk have been conclusively proved to speed cancer growth (which they haven't, there's so far just a correlation), all that shows is that you shouldn't eat dairy products if you have cancer, not that everyone all over the world should permanently swear off milk right this moment.

If I order a burrito without corn and you then make that burrito in front of me and put corn in it and I say "Excuse me I asked for no corn, I just saw you put corn in it" then don't try to tell me that you didn't put corn in it.

(I wasn't actually angry and I was saying "No it's alright" as she unwrapped the burrito and picked all the corn out of it. But a discount would have been nice ...)

Pedestrians of Montgomery County: You heard the lady! If you insist on wearing black, at least carry a light, wear a reflector, etc. There's been an alarming number of pedestrians meeting drivers by accident and it's not always the driver's fault. There's plenty of fault to go around.

That large wildfire burning in Northern California is the Camp Fire, not the Campfire. Those are very different things. I'm guessing that in some instances this was a thing you shouldn't have to tell autocorrect.

W: I know that hot glue gun burns are incredibly painful (trust me, I know) and if any of that molten glue lands on your skin then it's almost impossible to concentrate on anything other than getting the glue away from you and getting yourself to the cold water tap as soon as possible but it's still a really f^%%ing bad idea to throw a piece of cardboard covered in molten glue across the room in the general vicinity of other people. You're really goddamned lucky it just flew past me and didn't hit me in the face.

A: You've been my employer for 11 years and we're pretty good buddies but it's a really dumb idea to give me the silent treatment and refuse to speak to me or even look at me because you were slightly inconvenienced, especially when you know that the things that went wrong weren't my fault and were mostly due to your own terrible communication over the issue. You are way too old to be throwing childish tantrums at anyone but it's an especially stupid idea to throw a tantrum at a person you really can't afford to lose from the company.
(I gave him a few days to cool off and then rang him and went "WTF was that about???" and he apologised.)

Oh man, that issue with the glue gun reminds me of my first job when I got out of high school. I was working at a book distribution warehouse. Typically I worked in the sorting department, but during the Christmas season the first year I was there I ended up working in the packing department a couple of times. Got molten glue on my arms a couple times. Nasty stuff.

One of the guys at the place I'm working now was lying under some large cardboard prop and gluing something on the panel above his head and the hot glue dripped directly in his eye

On the one hand that's incredibly horrible and I really feel sorry for him, on the other hand he'd been using hot glue guns for quite a number of years at that point and was no stranger to getting burned so he's a goddamned idiot for putting himself in a situation where that could happen

When you are preparing a new computer for a radio station studio, especially a computer on which you have installed an audio recording and editing program, it would be best if you made sure said computer has a sound card.

I'm kind of surprised that there are computers nowadays that don't have sound cards. I don't think I would have checked that either, as I would have just taken for granted there it had one. Or does your purpose require some special high end sound card that's better than what would some with most ordinary PCs?
