Icon27 Psychic Predictions for 2019

We haven't had one of these threads for a few years, so I thought I'd get one started. I looked at the OP for the 2015, and figured out why they stopped - the psychic has installed a paywall to access most of the predictions - wow, I did not see that coming!

Anyway, I decided to start out this year's thread with SkepChick's predictions, which will probably be as accurate as the paywall or any other "real" skeptic could do. Feel free to add your own links or personal predictions for 2019.

I predict that somewhere in the world, in 2019, there will be a flood. And somewhere there will be a drought. And somewhere there will be a major fire.

I will go further out on a limb and further predict a) that some unfortunate place in the world will have at least two of the above happen during the same year and that b) not only will there be at least one incident of flood, drought, and fire (separately) in not just the world but specifically the USA, but also there will be at least one tornado.

I predict that I, as a farmer, will complain about the weather at least once.

I predict that there will be instances of disagreement between the Republicans and the Democrats in the USA Congress.

I predict that, somewhere, a pipeline carrying petroleum based fuels will break.

I predict that at least one customer at farmers' market will complain about the price of something.

I predict that I will succeed in sorting out some portion of the accumulation of stuff in my house and barns; but that I will not get all of it sorted.

-- how am I doing so far?

There will be a marriage in an European Royal family with the partner being from a non-noble family and at least one vocal member of the Royal family disapproving.

There will be a newly released device that is slightly better than last year's version that people will line up around the block to buy.

And pay hundreds of dollars for.

I predict that a Nexus 6 combat replicant will go rogue and sneak back to Earth from an off-world colony with several other replicants. They will be hunted down and killed by a police-sanctioned bounty hunter in Los Angeles.

I predict that MCU movies will do well in the box office, but some people will gripe about how many there are and how inaccessible they are to new people.

I predict that people on the internet will latch on to minor details in Captain Marvel that they will use to justify rants on YouTube about why action movies starring women are bad. I predict that at least one will complain that they should have made it about the original Captain Marvel, despite him having been dead for 40 years.

I predict that Fallout 76 will still be bug-ridden by the end of the year.

I predict that people will use the internet to complain about video games they don't play.

I predict that some Major Business will be hacked.

I also predict more news about rouge priests.

The Special Snowflakes on both the left and right will find something offensive somewhere

We'll be hearing a lot about next year's election (noooooooooo!!)

This year's KY Derby field will be "the deepest field in years" just like last year.

My mother used to buy whatever tabloid had YEAR PREDICTIONS!!!!!!!!! She knew I always got a big kick out of them.

Assume you heard that the nuclear silo computers in Fallout 76 are not Y2K19 compliant?

No, but it's a Bethesda game. That means it will have bugs. It will have bugs that seriously impact the ability to actually play the game that will never get fixed, even.

Ah, I thought you were predicting that we only had until November, at which point the whole thing goes up in a ball of fire.

My prediction: the president will blame members of other parties, his own party, and random people for his own screw-ups, and Republicans will back him.

That was my first thought also; then I thought, 'This is quite possibly a Cultural Reference which I Do Not Get.'

I add to my predictions that I will continue to Not Get a number of Cultural References in 2019.

I think you mean rogue priests. Red cheeked ones would be news, though.

Well our last flood was broken by a flood . And I do believe there was a bushfires in other parts of Australia at the same time (as the flood). so it could happen here also

(Additional prediction: thorny locust will be nitpicky at least once in 2019. -- wait, yes I suppose I do mean 'at least once more'.)

And here I was thinking that it must have really been a humdinger of a flood.

I predict that a majority of psychics will predict a bunch of mundane things like "there will be disagreements in congress", along with a few spectacularly weird things like "Donald Trump will be abducted by aliens", just so that they can show up in the tabloids with a 90% success rate.

What's that? You mean this thread isn't about making predictions ABOUT psychics?
