Judging by the cuts and bruises on his face (photo in the article Madeline linked to), there might be a bit more to this story than the article mentions.

By that, I don't mean to imply that the assault never happened, I just that if he shows such obvious injuries, then the source of the injuries might somehow related to the event described. He might have been acting even more badly than the article suggests. Or, perhaps the victim was a fellow service member whose self defense training proved adequate to the task.

Either way, he was probably not a good choice for a sexual assault prevention job.

Default Army Coordinator at Sexual Assault Prevent. Office Accused of Abusive Sexual Contact

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/natio...contact/65235/

Quote:
An Army coordinator for a sexual assault prevention office at Fort Hood was accused of "abusive sexual contact" on Tuesday. Think this story sounds familiar? That's probably because last week, the officer in charge of the Air Force's Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office was arrested and charged with sexual battery.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a huge scandal a decade ago about Air Force personnel sexually abusing female recruits or something?

No, the thing I'm thinking of was in 2003 or 2004. It might not have been the Air Force, though.

The issues were never quite settled, and as late as 2002, the Tailhook chairman spoke of "the alleged misconduct that occurred in 1991"
That might have been it.
