Comment: Has the term Junior Enlisted Warrior (J.E.W.) been substituted
for "boot" when referring to new Marines? When I got out in 2008, there were lots of rumors circulating the Marine Corps about no longer being able to refer to new Marines as boots, but that the term JEW, for junior enlisted warrior, was to be used instead. After some time on Google, I found a lot of people asking questions and others answering it in various ways, but none had actual citations. Think you could shine some light on this? |
