Architects forgot to add bullpens to AT&T Park

Comment: On tonight's Cardinals-Giants broadcast on ESPN Radio, the
commentators said that the bullpens at AT&T Park are on the field because the
architects forgot to add bullpens to the stadium design. Sounds like an
absurd rumor, but it seems to have some legs. I've found it mentioned as far
back as 2008, also without any confirmation or denial.

Well the UL here is that it was on purpose to make the park more old timey.

I confirmed with the Giants via their Twitter account that this is not true. The architect did in fact design the bullpens that way intentionally:
