Sniff. I wasn't as fond of The Love Bug as I was of That Darn Cat!, but he had such an easy going image, he was a joy to watch.

If there was a live-action Disney movie or TV special from the mid-60's into the early 80's, there was a good chance Dean Jones was in it somewhere. Lots of fond, fun memories.

Aw, he had kind of a Jimmy Stewart vibe that I liked. Last movie I saw him in was Clear and Present Danger, over 20 years ago. I liked his work. R.I.P.

The Love Bug was an option on a recent trans-Atlantic light I took. I enjoyed his work.

I was going to say the same. I'd never really thought of it before, but you're absolutely right. I can easily imagine him in any of Jimmy Stewart's roles and it doesn't seem at all like miscasting.
