Comment: I was looking for the origin of the term 'tennis bracelet'.
Apparently, Chris Evert supposedly stopped a match of the 1987 US Open after her diamond bracelet broke so she could find her lost jewelry. After this incident, this style of bracelet went from being called an eternity bracelet to a tennis bracelet. I couldn't find any original source material for this, however. |
