Borg No evidence sex robots have any health benefits, report says

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, things that only used to exist in science fiction movies are now becoming a reality. One of the latest examples is sex robots, somewhat realistic mannequins – though far from "Westworld" quality – with variable ages, appearances, and textures.

*Didn't know from the headline that sex robots were even being offered health benefits.*

Well, sex robots are still glorified, ridiculously expensive sex toys. I'm not sure why anyone would think that there were somehow health benefits not available to other methods of pleasuring yourself.

I thought that was what warranties were for.

Analogous to arguments about computer games..how is that better than your own imagination? Go and play outside*!

*But in this case obviously not outside, continue to stay in your room and use your imagination but definatley don’t go out of your room to do it!!!

Sure, bring sex into it and we're all worried about the robots getting health benefits! What about the assembly line robots who have toiled for decades without health benefits? I say equal benefits for ALL robots!

Health benefits? Of course. Much less likely to get an STD!

Read This!

The article needs proofing!
Quote:
"They're not these nasty, dirty perverts who can't get enough sex. It's really about companionship," Matt McMullen, founder and CEO of RealBotix, told CBS SF Bay Area. "For me, the idea of conversing with this character, and actually stimulating a bone that's actually above and beyond the physical, that was what that appealed to me."
Stimulating a bone?

The next paragraph mentions "a man who...owns fixe sex robots"

No, just an observation that a really, really expensive sex toy doesn't provide additional health benefits compared to a much cheaper sex toy.
