Icon19 Potato Day

Comment: A commentator on Fox News and now several websites/bloggers are
reporting that a public school in Westwood, CA no longer allows children
to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Instead, the school celebrates "Potato
Day." According to the bloggers, this is because St. Patrick is a patron
saint and therefore a religious icon. The television commentator also
strongly implied that this "political correctness run amok" was somehow
ordered by the Obama Administration.

So President Obama's administration declared this edict for just this one school out of the many thousands in the entire country?

This seems to be a transcipt of the show in question:

John Stewart mocked Andrew Breitbart, a former editor of the Drudge Report, who now runs his own Web news portal, for saying that since Obama became president, his children’s public school no longer used the term ‘St. Patrick’s Day’ but rather, ‘Potato Day.’

Andrew Breitbart's idiotic "Big Hollywood" site has had the Stewart video posted with the text "Breitbart response to come" for the last day and a half.

Maybe he'll actually name the school where this happened. But I doubt it.

"Wouldn't Potato Day be less politically correct?"

If it were Potato Day, I declare that everyone in Idaho get the day off.
