Doesn't much of the stuff that erodes into the sea later get deposited on the shore elsewhere anyway? Isn't that how beaches form?

Let's see. Rocks from cliffs can fall into the sea, but ice from glaciers can't.

Rocks sink to the bottom so the level goes up. Ice floats on the surface, so the level stays the same.

As one who went to grade school and high school in Alabama, there is a strong reason I now reside in a university town in New Mexico. And it is still bad enough that many of the faculty here still think the Republican tenets are good.

If he's right about rocks, mud, and silt causing the rise, then we don't have a global warming crisis, we have an erosion crisis. Why isn't anyone doing something about this?
