Hello Kitty Cat Burglar Caught Trying to Steal Cinnamon Roll

One sugar-loving cat was caught red-pawed trying to sneak a cinnamon roll, and the photos tell the tail of the thieving tabby.

Sophia Lindner snapped the purr-petrator her sneaky 6-year-old cat, Percy reaching for the rolls her family traditionally makes on Christmas morning, in hilarious photos.

Let me guess. Someone stole your sweetroll. I watched that video, I saw only pickpockets and Skooma dealers.

Khajiit stole nothing. Khajiit is innocent of this crime.

He may love cinnamon rolls but it's not because they are sweet

Yeah right. They just haven't tested the right cats is all. It's like all those cat books who claim cats don't like tummy rubs. Or oranges. One of my sister's late cats loved both orange segments (he'd steal them right off the plate) and orange juice.

When I was a kid I had a cat who'd lick chili powder off our fingers. He lick his chops and sneeze and shake his head -- and then come back for more.

ETA: He was also the most flatulent cat I've ever had. It never occurred to us that the two things might be related.

Ash didn't get the memo that cats can't taste sweet either.

my Luther (1995-2011) had a strong preference for sweets ... truly

another feline who didn't get the memo

he also had a strong preference for hard surfaces for sleeping ... even better if there was paper on the hard surface

his littermate, my Calvin (1995-2010) never exhibited an interest in sweet flavours -- & you could not say the c-word (chicken) around him if you did not have an offering -- & was happiest sleeping on soft surfaces -- including using his Luther as a pillow

each cat is gloriously different ... meow!

On a different board someone said their cat licked sugar off of doughnuts.

I'm not sure it matters, really, whether cats like/can taste sweet or not. The cat in the picture hasn't tasted that cinnamon roll. He just knows it's food. The usual cat approach, IME, is to proactively go ahead and steal the intriguing food item, then just leave it uneaten somewhere in the house if you don't want to eat it after all. Bonus points if you leave it somewhere the humans won't find it right away.

I've explained to mine that that's how you get ants, but my cats are unmoved by Archer references.

The second picture in the article is just priceless.

On Boxing Day, I was on the phone with my friend and suddenly she gasped and yelled 'Chloe'. Chloe is her cat and Chloe had somehow got on the table (somewhere she never goes) and eaten a piece of fruit cake. The fruit cake my friend had carefully wrapped and brought back from her mom's house.

A couple of days later, my cat was trying to stick her face in the hummus. I think she liked the smell of the roasted garlic in it. Somehow she doesn't understand when we explain to her that the onion family is bad for her.

Glasses

Every year, my sister bakes bulla (Swedish cinnamon rolls). This year, Ferdinand got at mine. Graciously, he left me one and ate all the others. I was very upset.

They didn't give him gas, although the amount of grain involved was reflected in his er...output.
