Looks like Jay Tea was active on Snopes but I don't remember him. I'm sorry I never got the chance to know him.

Somehow, Jay Tea managed to get past my face blindness, so that when I saw the photo on his brothers' post, I knew it was him, even though I couldn't match the names, I was still certain.

He will be greatly missed.

Wow. He was my husband's age.

I think he added me on Facebook a few years ago but unfriended me at some point.

Some people need to unfollow or unfriend me for their own mental health, I'm still often gloom and doom as some may recall.

Anyway, it's a real shame. Rest in peace, good sir.

So very sad for all his family. I loved his posts here and his wonderful food pictures on facebook. He was just about the age of my daughter and I can't imagine such grief.

What a blow to the heart. I haven't been here in years, but Jay Tea was such a staple back in the day. 43 is far too young.

Count me in as shocked with his passing as well. So long, Jay Tea.

Poor Jay Tea - as so many have said, 43 is so young. Rest well, Joe.

That makes sense now. I was wondering why Ana Ng was being covert.
Thanks.

Yes - she's in the UK for the funeral at the moment and says they've been very kind.

I don't know how much of the story Ana wants to tell on her own (or not at all). Suffice it to say that Jay Tea was with his family in the UK when he passed away, and unfortunately his family didn't know there was reason for them to contact Ana back here in the U.S. with that information immediately.

Fortunately, my wife has a dear friend who works for a major airline, so we were able to arrange for Ana to get to London quickly and inexpensively. You can imagine how even more heartbreaking it would have been to have had to deal with that situation from thousands of miles away.

I think that's Jay Tea at our wedding, hovering in the background with the backpack:

(We incorporated an escape room aspect into the wedding, so there was initial chaos as all the guests scrambled to assemble into teams and hunt the grounds for clues to find the missing wedding rings.)

I didn't know either - I just got a private message asking if I had talked with [Ana Ng] before posting, and was a bit puzzled. I apologize for what must seem like an incredibly insensitive sharing of information; my only intent was to pass along the information from Facebook in lieu of an obituary.

Jay Tea and Ana Ng were among my favorite people on the old boards - they both brought a fun, quirky vibe to any thread in which they were posting. I kind of lost track of Ana once she stopped posting regularly (although I knew she was working for the main site), and only kept in touch with Jay casually through Facebook - I had no idea that they were married. I'm sorry again for any hurt I may have caused; snopes, please extend my deepest condolences to Ana.

This is so sad. So very young.
I liked Jay Tea. I think I have a recipe of his around that I still use.

And hard for Ana as well.

My best wishes to all his family.
