Icon06 I had to say goodbye to China yesterday

About a month ago, I noticed that her back legs were unsteady. The vet diagnosed a middle ear infection(and that she was also constipated, underweight and dehydrated). She was given an oral antibiotic, eardrops, an enema and prescription canned food. The vet warned me that although the infection might be causing the balance issues, there might be something neurological going on.

Long story short, although she did improve for awhile, she gradually started getting worse. She was barely eating and drinking, the weakness of her back end was worse, and she was peeing outside the litter box. The vet said the ears were fine, she was no longer constipated, but she suspected a tumor in her brain or spinal cord. So I made the decision. She was about 14.

I never thought I'd say it, but I even miss her putting her butt in my face.

I'm very sorry. Thank you for making the hard decision, and cutting short her suffering.
