I'm wondering where you got that fact, Joe. The only info I could find said that the law limiting to ten rounds was no longer in effect.

Comment: Got a message about a dad leaving a baby on the floor of the
theatre during the recent Aurora, Colorado theatre shooting. I don't see
any realiable news sources reporting on this.

He has a public defender, so, the good people of Colorado are paying for his defense.

I'm wondering maybe there's more of them. [I'm thinking] 'He's crying and they're going to come get me.' I look up to see if I can run. I'm ducking, dodging, turning left, turning right. ... Every time you hear a gun shot, it's like 'Oh, I'm dead.'"
"I'm just disoriented after I put him down," Rohrs said. "I'm just waiting for me to hit the ground and fall down dead. You could see the gunfire and people are dropping."
Story here.

I think a baby might even be safer lying flat than being carried by someone who could easily be a target.

What's worse is that he seems to have driven away while his girlfriend, her 4-year-old daughter, and the infant were still inside. The girlfriend found the baby on the floor and was able to rescue him and her daughter.

from the article:
Quote:
While she was on the floor, she said, she could see her 4-month-old baby on the ground near the stairs.
Quote:
He said Legarreta called him from another phone and he drove back to the theater.

On the floor, under a seat, with the adult shielding the child. I realize I'm typing this in quiet, calm safety, with time to think about it, and with the lights on. But it's more or less exactly what the baby's mother did with her 4YO.

//Slight hijack//

Ironically "hitting the deck" under fire is something that has to be trained into people to a greater degree then you'd imagine.

What do people who haven't been so trained typically do? Run away? Stand still? Run towards the source of the fire? Look for something to hide behind?

Is it like a beer softball game and someone yells "Heads up!" Those who are familiar duck, but those who stick their heads up are likely to get a face full of softball.

Different people react differently, of course. When I was a sophomore in college, I was in bed in my dorm room when lightning struck a building about a mile away. It was incredibly loud -- I was surprised, later, to learn the strike had happened so far away. When it happened, I went immediately from half asleep in bed to duck-and-cover position on the floor, without even thinking about it. But I don't know how my dorm-mates, let alone people closer to the actual danger, reacted.

I heard a loud boom not long ago while I was in my back yard. It seemed to come from the neighbors' house two houses down. I think I ducked my head briefly, then started up my driveway to investigate--I thought maybe gas explosion. I knew people had been in the front yard a few minutes before, and I thought they might need help. I was stopped partway up my driveway by a cop who told me to go inside my house.

Turns out the boom was a shotgun blast--they shot the guy who had been mowing the neighbors' yard with a beanbag round as they were attempting to take him into custody.

So I guess there are some people (other than police and soldiers) who will go toward the sound of gunfire. (Of course, I didn't recognize it as gunfire. If I had, I'm not sure what I would have done. Probably would have grabbed my dog and gone inside.)

Comment: There's a story beginning to circulate about a transplant
recipient getting two lungs from an Aurora shooting victim.

http://rt.com/usa/news/colorado-shoo...save-life-808/

This whole thing looks suspicious. This is NOT a photo of a recent
transplantee. In the first place, everyone in the room would be gloved and
masked. Also, there are no IVs in the patient.

If this is a hoax, it's truly cruel.

Man! I knew Oregon was kind of nutso on the going-green thing, but to shoot a guy for mowing the grass, that's really over the top. What do you do to people who trim the hedges!?

Comment: I have been told that there were 2 or more involved in the
shooting at the Colorado Movie theater the other day and that the supposed
shooter, Holmes, was just an accomplice, that a fully masked and clothed
individual was let into the theater when Homes opened the door. Holmes
was not doing shooting. Is any of this true??

Comment: I've added a link, but is this story about one of the survivors
in Aurora true? It seems too perfect a situation.
It's about one of the survivors being shot through the head, but a
preexisting brain defect provided a tunnel for the shots to safely pass
through without causing brain damage.

Comment: Do you know anything about this?

The Aurora , Colorado killer was trained in 2 CIA psy ops colleges and was
trained in neuro mind control operations. Some say he was recruited as a
speed up of psyops for the coming illuminati attack on the London Olympics
which will trigger martial law and gun confiscation in the U.S. .... just
like they took guns from civilians in Katrina.... ablitzkrieg nazi style
attack.
PASS THE NEWS - the internet is our strongest weapon against all this
false flag crap
