Crash Marine Corps football

Comment: Is it true...

That the Marine Corps had a football team in the 1930's but it was
disbanded at half-time when the opposing team refused to come back out to
the field, because they recieved too many broken bones etc?

Doubt it. The 30s were when Army and Navy football both were in ascendancy, and neither would have been able to stand ceding that crown to the Marines.

Marine officers are trained at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. The famous football game is actually Army vs. Navy/USMC.

This is true. However, I still doubt that the Army, in particular, would have been too hot on having a challenger. Navy wouldn't have cared for having their recruitment base split.
