I had no idea there were people who weren't sensitive to poison ivy. I don't know if I've ever encountered it; I've been hiking a few times, and I've never had a reaction consistent with exposure. But maybe I'm just one of the lucky 15%.

Where have you been hiking? It's much more common east of the Rockies.

The one out here is poison oak, but it's the same sensitivity to urushiol.

I'm another one that is probably not sensitive to it. I can't be absolutely sure, as I've never had a definite exposure, but I've been the only one of a group not to have a reaction, and SO got it very badly one time from, we assume, the dog having gotten in some. In both instances it would be extremely unlikely that I wasn't exposed at the same time.
