The quote I use most often comes from a comedy album; specifically, Reality, What a Concept by Robin Williams.

"The brains of a pissant, My Lord."

I think [I]Seinfeld[I] was so influential in its day a lot of phrases that originated there have become part of people's everyday speech without them really noticing that they're referencing it. Like "No [thing] for you" or calling someone or something "[thing]-worthy".

I didn't think of it when I first posted in this thread, but I often use Futurama references, too. "Your [thing] is bad and you should feel bad!" And I guess "Shut up and take my money!" had taken on a life of its own beyond the show.

My Dad, brother & I have similar tastes in comedy & like to slip quotes into conversation when he can, normally when we are all together.

Not so much lately, but there was a time when "not merely dead, but really most sincerely dead." came up around my crew surprisingly often.

Like others here, almost every line from Princess Bride gets trotted out on a daily basis; but so do lines from Airplane ("we have clearance, Clarence", and "don't call me Shirley") as well as both Blazing Saddles ("Work work work work" and WKRP ("oh it just never stops, never stops" which are often interchangeable.) Also, Get Smart ("Sorry about that, Chief", and "missed it by that much".) Probably about a dozen others but those are the most frequently used.

It’s kind of amazing how long The Princess Bride has remained a part of our cultural consciousness.

Tombstone occasionally crops up for us: “Well. Bye” when we’re not sad to see something go. I feel like Monty Python was a big one for awhile, but that’s kind of disappeared.

Harry Potter gets a nod when people mutter a spell they wish could work.

Thank you!

In my group of friends, we also use Never give up, never surrender. Then again, we dress up as Thermians semi-regularly.

I should be thanking you since it's because of you that I bought the DVD and was introduced to the delights of the NSEA Protector.

I do often say "Now look, this isn't an argument; it's just contradiction" if someone claims something is wrong with no supporting argument.

Also "only a flesh wound" to describe minor injuries.

Commercials! One of the very few that I actually like is this one from A&W; I constantly call my self DuMas.
