Default Pres. Obama and cabinet watching bin Laden raid

Comment: Is this real or fake? looks photo shoped to me:

President and his cabinet watching live feed of the raid. Navy seals raid
Bin Laden's compound and kill Bin Laden. Look at the intensity of every
face during the live feed:

Roll eyes

If the intensity on their faces is the best reason this person can come up with for it looking "photo shoped", I'm sure the asker will understand my refusal to accept their ability to judge the validity of photos as any sort of reason to take them seriously.

Just sayin'.

Looks entirely plausible and authentic to me.

ETA: I'm glad I never had to work at the white house or the pentagon, and wear my class A uniform every day!

It's also on the White House Flickr photostream.

Huh. Is that the paper sitting on the laptop that looks like it had an entire cappucino spilled on it?

"Is this real or fake? looks photo shoped to me:" is what the person who sent it in wrote to us. Everything after the colon is what he or she received along with the photo.

I don't think it's shopped (except for the obscured document, which doesn't count), but it may be an incorrect description, i.e. they're watching something besides the bin laden raid. there's really no way to tell from the image alone.

As Gibbie said, it's on the Flickr official photostream for the White House. the description is:

Quote:
President Barack Obama makes a point during one in a series of meetings in the Situation Room of the White House discussing the mission against Osama bin Laden, May 1, 2011. National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is pictured at right. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)

One of the other photos, it looks more like a teleconference (possibly with command staff in the middle east)
ETA: sorry linked back to first pic... it's pic number 3 I am referring to.

Sorry 'bout that.

And is it just me, or does anybody else want to have Pete Souza follow them around for a day just to get great shots of doing daily stuff? That, coupled with some WG Snuffy Walden scoring, and dramatic downlighting, and Sorkin-esque banter...

I suppose I should either really become the President, or play her on television.

I keep imagining this picture as the first of a reaction shot, a la Reaction Guys (Warning: Anything under "Images" on that page may be NFBSK/NSFW. It's user-submitted.) I just keep wondering where the next frame of them all cheering is.

Only if I get all the film first. I just know I'd end up with a shot of me scratching my nose or maing a weird face.
