Salvation Army oppresses gay rights

To be fair, the Salvation Army in the USA also states that they do not discriminate and that their services are available to all.

Which is still not right, but significantly different from "we're not going to hire teh gayez"

I'd be curious to know whether they currently offer benefits to defacto spouses of employees, which, IMO would make it less of an issue of opressing gay rights, no?

But since gay marriage is legal in New York, some of these partners are probably actual spouses, not just de facto spouses. Or do you mean that they allow benefits to married same sex partners, but not unmarried ones?
