Perfume is not an appropriate marinade.

I am so tired of hearing these annoying radio ads here in SE Michigan warning about the perils of Bridge card fraud. I hear them every single time I listen to the radio. Even changing the station doesn't work as they are airing on multiple stations. The state is probably spending more on these ads than they lose in welfare fraud.

Bridge card fraud? Is that like playing a card that isn't the same suit when you actually have one?

In Michigan " Bridge Card" refers to the card used for food stamp benefits. The card has a picture of the Mackinac bridge on it.
I knew the Nectar ads would be here. I like them. I have to stop and watch them every time.

Ah! I was wondering how much of the country it covered.

This commercial from Allstate. I understand why no one listens to you: you’re a whiny, passive-aggressive asshole. I wouldn’t listen to you either. Of course I would also put drano in your coffee, but that’s beside the point.

Just give me more Mayhem and leave this jerk alone, Allstate!

This ad for Kaiser Permanente Washington always creeps me out. Does not inspire me to sign up for their services.

Plus, I think the pizza delivery guy is cute and hope he got paid the full amount plus a tip, even if they didn't take the pizza.

I haven't watched the commercial, Tootsie, yet my hackles are already raised. Who doesn't take pizza? Pizza is warm, pepperoni, tomato sauce awesome!

There's a commercial for Tide pods which starts with a couple packing a suitcase while talking about how it is the last minute. And then a girl walks into the room with an overloaded clothes basket; She says, 'ah guys, I have a couple of things to wash'. There are so many annoyances here, but I'll just go with number 1, she speaks in a way too quiet voice which is incongruous with the rest of the commercial. Did she win a contest to be cast in this commercial? Did whoever wrote the commercial also get to do it after winning a contest?

There's a Ford commercial for myKey (parental control features), https://www.ispot.tv/ad/w3Zc/2018-fo...nts-in-control that's bugging the hell out of me. Because the parents in it are so smug about the whole and because it promotes a complete lack of trust and communication. Why talk to your kids about safe driving habits when you can just control the car instead?

They could do both. That's what I'd do.

But are they suggesting parents use these controls without telling the teen driver about them? That seems like a bad idea to me. So instead of being distracted by loud music, the kid's distracted wondering why he can't turn the volume up.

That's a good point. A conversation about safety and a "so I'm putting these settings on the car when you drive."

But the commercial definitely plays it off as the parents smugly doing it without the kids' knowledge.
