And ahem, having gargled from a few different taps myself, a diet high in fruits, water, and natural sugars and low in alcohol, smokable items, and meat is definitely better than the opposite. The consistency and color are different.
But oh, those dark, leafy greens...heart-healthy, good for stamina, not so much for flavor. (That is to say, for every bag of spinach that goes into the grocery cart around here, a bag of oranges follows.)
