Ok, so let's imagine the scenario is true. Having all of the flesh on your head and one of your hands eaten off is likely to cause severe bleeding, right? I understand the blood would probably have gone into the water, explaining (in part) why there is so little on the body and table.
But why does the body look so alive, color-wise? It should either be whitish from bleeding out, or dusky from being dead and no longer having oxygenated blood supplied to it. I haven't seen any real dead bodies (other than ones that have been embalmed and cosmetically enhanced for viewing), but I don't imagine blood retains its color inside the body for very long after death. If it is a fake body, though, it is definitely one of the better I've seen. Except for the position of the skeleton coming out, as others have mentioned. I'm inclined to believe it is a real (living) body with either CG or photoshop enhancement of the protruding skeleton. eta: in trying to find something about any effects houses working on a piranha based movie, I found this: Chihuanas - hybrid chihuahua piranhas ETA again, I wouldn't be surprised to learn the images are from effects for the 3D remake of the movie Piranha which was done in the 70s Last edited by mags; 17 December 2008 at 04:01 PM. |
