In the latest online scam, cybercrooks are breaking into the PCs of small businesses and individuals, locking up data and demanding money in return for freeing it.

That has been happening for a few years now.

Just as common is the disgruntled former system operator who has the only domain admin passwords

Cybercrime is a growth area
