If you go south west out of Halifax you will come to Shad Bay, which is in the wrong place. It should be one one bay to the west. The one with the island at the north end. I grew up across on the west side of that bay and that island is rumored to have a money pit on it. A pirate's money pit. Arr.

Try using FLOC*. The files are about half the size, but smell just like the original.

Friends, I am thrilled to announce that I'll be starring in the Star Wars reboot directed by JJ Abrams. I'll be playing Master Ceti Maru, a member of the Jedi High Council. The new film, entitled "Star Wars: Galactic Empire," is greenlit and will begin filming sometime early next year. It is truly a moment for The Star Alliance. Thanks to all my fans for their decades of support.

Interesting. When I view my area, they have put in the names of the subdivisions at the highest magnification, showing them as if they are the local settlement names.

I'm going to pull a prank on my co-workers today.

I'm going to come in with a covered plate and announce that I've made brownies.

The thing is, what I've done is printed out a bunch of brown letter E's, cut them out, and put them on the plate. Brown Es.

But, I've also made actual brownies, which I'll fetch from my car once the joke is played.

xkcd changes text while you read the page. There are at least three versions of the comic that I read.

Someone posted about a Firefly reboot.
As much as we would all love for that to happen, such a joke was not well received.

The BBC seems to have given up on April Fools jokes, but, as usual, they have a page of stories that look like April Fools jokes, but are actually true. (These pages seem to go back to at least 2004.)

I am not a great fan of David Cameron (to say the least), but well done he (see story no. 8). And who have thought that Churchill's wedding to Clementine very nearly didn't happen (story no. 9).

ThinkGeek is cruel... some of their April Fool's Day products are so amazing that I must have them!

*sigh*

I'd buy an iPad mini just for that.

They eventually took their tauntaun sleeping bag from gag to reality, so, maybe... someday...

Failblog has become FRAILblog, and Memebase hase become MEEMAWbase, both aimed at older women. PoorlyDressed is making fun of high fashion instead of fashion failures.

ETA: MyLittleBrony is posting Littlest Pet Shop memes.

I got "Reality Shows About People With No Concept of Reality," which should be a legitimate category, and "TV Shows Where Defiantly Crossed Arms Mean Business!"

NPR did one about an oral history project involving retired Navy dolphins. There were clear indications it was a joke all through (the dolphins were kept in a former whale-farming facility in southern Indiana), but the real payoff was one of the people involved in the project saying "We have no NFBSKing clue what these dolphins are saying. They might be shooting the s*** or singing or talking smack about seals, for all we know."
