I just finished a mystery by Carola Dunn where someone was murdered by using eye drops, they were bella donna though - supposed to make the eyes look bigger I think. But this was set in 1923.

Yep. She's a recent discovery of mine, and it's nice to find a lot of titles for my "recent" discovery .

CSI did do an episode of it. I believe it was a gambler who was poisoned by a waitress at a casino.
