I thought I'd revive a game we had going on a few years ago. The idea is to post a picture of a famous landmark or someplace that would be known by most people, and others guess where the picture was taken. The catch is the picture should be of a part of that landmark that wouldn't be immediately recognizable to most people, but would be recognizable by someone who's actually been there, like say a doorway in the Taj Mahal. Winner gets to post the next photo, unless the winner doesn't want to; then it's open to anyone who wants to post one.
Here's the first photo:

Ganzfeld wins round one! And quickly, too. Apparently my opening photo was too easy.

I wonder if he managed to break on through to the other side. It's Jim Morrison's grave in Paris.
I don't have any pics to post at the moment, so someone else can have my turn. |

Correct. A bit too easy but I thought Chopin's would be a little too difficult.

This is probably too easy, but it is an unusual angle. http://www.flickr.com/photos/seaboe_...57627009964766

Okay, try this one:
There are clues in the image, beyond the obvious, although they do not leap right out at you. Last edited by A Turtle Named Mack; 19 February 2013 at 07:06 PM. |

Judging mainly from the shape of the boat: Lost River Cave, Kentucky?

Is that Craighead Caverns, aka "The Lost Sea" in Tennessee? Just a shot in the dark because it's an underground lake I'm famaliar with, and it's not that far from you.

Lost River, Lost Sea.
If you Kentuckians can't keep better track of your waterways, we're going to take them away and give them to a state that will appreciate them. |

Nope. Look at the guide for a clue.
