I'm reading a sci-fi-ish book right now, and there are two pairs of non-twin siblings so far who are less than a year apart in age. This is not technically impossible, of course, but it's unlikely, and the rest of the writing is just weak enough that I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a hint that Something Is Unnatural Here or just something the author didn't think through.

It happens often enough that there's a term for it. I don't think it's a very nice term, but among people who don't practice effective birth control, it certainly happens regularly.

Why does every site need to have an app? How many apps should I install? Is there any place I can go and sign out of all app requests? Is there a no-app-list somewhere?

We have a snow day of course, anyone who has seen anything about this storm knows why. Having it on a Friday is sweet. LTTAM: The principal has a bunch of things he wants just so. In the OSRs the report cards are supposed to be set up a certain way. One grade 1 teacher does it and one doesn't, which means I have to go and get the materials to do it. It is not my job but I've had to do it for 2 years now. We need an annoyed smilie. |

Hey, you Yankees and Canucks are hogging all the snow!!!! Send some for us, whydoncha!? You get that beautiful white blanket, and the fun of playing in it, etc., and here we are on another gray, sodden February day in the upper 50s (low teens C, for Canadians). Of all the nerve!

My family is originally from Michigan, and we would visit family and snow every winter growing up. I even went to college up north. Besides, I have a Saint Bernard mix that loooooooves the snow.

I lived two years in Mankato, MN as a teenager. Snow was beautiful, and interesting, and kind of fun. But I don't want it on any long term basis. If we can schedule a two-inch fall for a weekend, that's fine. I just wish that cold wouldn't hurt my bones so.

The letters and numbers on my most recent Fresh Step Paw Points code is smudged and difficult to read. I've tried several combinations of what those letters and numbers could be based on their general shape, but nothing's working.
I want my Paw Points! I'm saving up for a toy for Ash!

Snow is a lot less annoying when you don`t have to go out in it. You can stand by the window and say "Wow!" and nod sympathetically when male relatives complain about the wide swath left by the snowplow. Then you can go back to bed and have a nap. I just wish the Board had made the decision the night before so I didn`t have to get up at 6:30 to find out. In fact they didn`t decide until 6, which annoyed me because I woke up earlier and could have turned off my alarm. I already told my athletic trainer that snow day=me not going, which I consider perfectly reasonable but if he did go in, he will probably take out of my hide next week.
The only thing about this that annoys me is that Friday was the 100th Day of school, which worked out well because excited kids had the weekend to calm down after. Now it will be Monday and I will have to calm them down myself. That smilie does look good but how do you bring those ones up into a message? |

For us, it's already gone much better than predicted. We had light rain all day, that is now snow. I don't know what it will be like in the morning, but it's certainly no blizzard right now.
The little thing that annoyed me today was that I had planned (as I usually do) to go to the grocery store this morning. I take my day off on a weekday (I'll work tomorrow and half of Sunday) in part because it means I get to go to the grocery store when it's quiet, and such. The grocery store was a nightmare. You'd think tomorrow was Thanksgiving and yesterday was the only day the store managed to stock turkeys or something. I seriously can't imagine where all of those people came from. And the store employees kept blocking aisles with their carts, restocking. The deli counter was so backed up you couldn't get past it even if you didn't want anything from the deli. So I didn't get to have my zen trip to the grocery store this week. It's too bad; I really love grocery shopping on quiet days. |
