It worked for me, which is why I'm now insane. Luckily it doesn't seem to have changed much.

Um *looks around sheepishly* is anyone playing MLP on the iPad? It's kinda fun if you ignore the blatant money grabbing. If so I'd be happy to friend you and send you stuff.

The Gameloft game? I can't play it (I have a desktop PC, period), but it would appear that you need to pay up in order to finish the game, unless you decide to go with something ever-so-slightly less legal.

That's rather disappointing. It is very average thinking to make completion of the game dependent on spending money. There are plenty of succesful and profitable casual games that allow people to win without spending money.

Sigh.

I'll do what I can without spending money but this makes me determined not to give them any cash - as opposed to some games that I don't mind shelling out the occasional couple of bucks because I don't have to.

We've been watching the MLP-FIM episodes online through the iPad channeled to the TV for the past month or so. This has been at the instigation of the Boy Wonder (11). We've seen season 1 & 2 and have just started season 3 over the last 4 weeks.

Seeing them in this way re-affirms just what clever TV the series is. For a cartoon aimed to sell a product it has very clever story telling which is exciting and funny, liable to include references from TV shows and movies, as ready to do My Fair Lady style song routines as it is to do Pepe le Pew gags, happy to silly episodes and equally ready to do epsiodes that had me thinking "woah, that's a bit heavy for the kiddies". It also has great continuity with developments from past episodes turning up in later ones as brief visual cues and quick references in a manner which would do a primetime series proud.

I am deeply impressed.

I also love that it has my boy deeply engaged and dead keen to see them all.

Just to let you know, Dropbear, Season 3 is a short season. It's only 13 episodes rather than 26. I'm not sure when it'll be available on iTunes, but it shouldn't be too long. A few months maybe.

Ok, I'm an idiot. Re-reading your post indicates that you've already started season 3.

We saw the first two episodes of Season 3 last night. Really good example of the kinds of things I was talking about above - the only other program I can think of that had a similar level of ludicrous premise and excellent delivery was Buffy.

This is a fully animated fan video put together by a guy claiming to be an ex Hasbro animator. Based on the quality of the animation I'd say that was pretty plausable.

This thing is AMAZING. The over-the-top expressions and abstract backgrounds are very reminiscent of 'Ren and Stimpy' and the upbeat music contrasted with the actual subject matter of the song just really sells the whole thing.

Warning: VERY NSFW. The video is heavily based off of 'Cupcakes' and if that reference doesn't mean anything to you, don't watch this. This video is definitely aimed at a very particular audience.

Don't say I didn't warn you!
